EW readers sound off on their favorite TV stars and shows from across the years

When it comes to TV, one man’s favorite show is often another man’s incentive to make like Elvis and shoot the set. So while we at EW name our picks for the tube’s toppers, it’s only fair to let our readers have their say. The more than 18,000 respondents (via an EW Online poll) clearly believe we’re living in a golden age of television — hence such top vote-getters as The X-Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and The Simpsons. Still, they’re not averse to the classics — I Love Lucy, Johnny Carson, and Coca-Cola’s ”Mean Joe Greene” ad. Check out our readers’ list of TV’s finest:
