It’s reassuring to hear Peter Gabriel sagely crooning inspirational verse to a pig (on Randy Newman’s ”That’ll Do”) in Babe: Pig in the City. You also get Edith Piaf’s ”Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien” and Dean Martin’s ”That’s Amore” (originals and mouse versions), plus sound bites, score fragments, and non-film tracks by the Chieftains and the Mavericks. Fine, but it begs the question, Who actually buys these collections? B-
