Music Review: 'Domestic Blues'

Latest in a long line of Anglo-Celts to straggle to Nashville (Albert Lee, Mark Knopfler, etc.), this Belfaster has made a winning solo debut album for Steve Earle’s label. Part of its virtue is the supporting cast (Earle, Jerry Douglas, Nanci Griffith), but the better part is the threadbare soul of Kennedy’s voice and his songs’ wry charm. B+
