Jewel doesn’t need anyone to save her soul … or to market her book. The flaxen-haired songbird’s July 22 appearance on Oprah sent hearts aflutter — and pushed sales high enough for her poetry collection A Night Without Armor to crack the top 10. Looks like HarperCollins’ $2 million gamble on the warbler’s literary ability wasn’t a foolish game: The book has 225,000 copies in print after nine pressruns.
