Puppeteer Shari Lewis dead at 65

Puppeteer Shari Lewis, 65, died on Sunday from pneumonia, which she developed while receiving chemotherapy treatment for uterine cancer. With Lewis depart her most popular puppet creations: Lamb Chop, Charlie Horse, and Hush Puppy. Throughout her 40-year career, Lewis won 12 Emmys. She had to cut short her latest PBS series, “The Charlie Horse Music Pizza,” when she was diagnosed with cancer in June.
