You’d think that a guy as legendarily offbeat as Leary would rate something more potent than your average Biography segment. The archival footage depicting his transformation from Harvard professor to psychedelic guru to escaped convict to dotty elder statesman may be intriguing to those who don’t know Timothy Leary from G. Gordon Liddy. But it’s hard to imagine who’ll be enthralled by an aging Leary rambling on about how much he loves that dance contest bit in Pulp Fiction, or by talking-heads interviews with various antiestablishment types who revere the man in Timothy Leary’s Dead.
