Not many films have mined the emotional depths of Dolph Lundgren. In case you needed to know why, take a look at this straight-to-tape pic, executive produced and directed by John Woo. Lundgren stars in Blackjack as a bodyguard who, in between blazing gun battles, gets in touch with his wounded inner child and discovers his capacity for parental nurturing. Woo occasionally flashes his talent for making action scenes jump off the screen, but not often enough. As any true Dolph fan knows, Lundgren expresses his feelings best by emptying a clip at a bad guy or driving his heel into a hitman’s solar plexus. C
