Six Months, No Sun

The title, Six Months, No Sun, sums up the apparent state of mind of this former half of the O’Kanes, who weaves mournful Appalachian-style melodies around original songs of self-degradation, busybody gossips, and addiction. Kane’s use of language and melody in carving out the black heart of darkness is no less than compelling, but his web of dreams is sticky stuff, indeed. A-
