Available on video for the first time, the William Friedkin-directed musical comedy, Good Times, can’t be recommended for its tired, ”Hard Day’s Night”-inspired plot (which pits the singing duo, playing themselves, against movie mogul Sanders) or for Sonny’s mostly tepid songs and score. Savor instead the ’60s decor and outre outfits (especially Cher’s astonishing assortment of bell-bottoms), a jazzy acoustic version of ”I Got You, Babe,” and, best of all, the aristocratic Sanders, slumming magnificently. To hear ”All About Eve’s” Addison De Witt caress Cher’s name into an opulent ”Shaaaar” is beyond fab. B-
