Hercules: The Legendary JourneysThe Xena Trilogy (1997, Universal, unrated, ), a three-tape offering of the TV episodes — in which Hercules (lunky, hunky Kevin Sorbo) wins Xena (Lucy Lawless) over to the forces of good — proves that she’s more appealing as a scheming, corseted femme fatale than a pious, breastplated wondergal….As debased erotic thrillers go, Return to Savage Beach (1998, Monarch, R) is wonderfully shameless, a 98-minute stretch of siliconed trash from Andy Sidaris that suggests Russ Meyer directing Hawaii Five-O….Despite the beguiling presence of Sherilyn Fenn and Saffron Burrows, Lovelife (1997, Trimark, R), a Singles-type romantic comedy set in grad school, may be less gripping than the average doctoral dissertation.
