Music Review: 'Prescription for the Blues'

Pianist Silver, who had a big impact in the ’50s and ’60s, returns in the ’90s as a hero. His latest album harkens back to his classic sound, with seductive vamps and tasty-smart solos. Joining him are the Brecker Brothers, saxist Michael and trumpeter Randy, who are Silver alumni from the ’70s. History repeats itself, and it’s a beautiful, organically funky thing. A-
