Call the chicks — not grrrls — of Kenickie the Anti-Spice. Their accomplished debut, At the Club, will inevitably get shortchanged by adjectives like punk and pop, though both are only part of the package. Ultimately, it’s the breadth of their songwriting and the fact that they eschew self-deprecation, rage, and posing — opting instead for that most elusive of qualities: artistry. A
