Album Review: 'Big House'
As Nashville’s critics complain that the same producers make the same records ad infinitum, here come Big House, a raw Bakersfield ensemble whose slightly doctored demo doubles as their debut. ”Amarillo” soars with the Eagles, and strains of Van Morrison drip through the retro-hippie ”Soul Country” like tupelo honey. But mostly, this rough-and-tumble band follows its own rangy heart. B
