Just when it seemed as if Spice Girls had cornered the market on irresistible British pop, along comes this debut single from U.K.-based musician Jyoti Mishra. One might not expect such potentially campy elements — bouncy synth flourishes, an electro-hip-hop beat, and detached, ambisexual vocals that seem to come from another room — to amount to much. But somehow everything comes together on “Your Woman” for a powerful pop package that’s extra, extra spicy.
