The Grease Megamix

With John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John’s The Grease Megamix, Grease is the word — again. A remix of three songs from the original movie soundtrack just moved like greased lightning up the national airplay chart (lifted off a compilation of ’70s dance tracks called Pure Disco). Call it another by-product of Travolta’s resurrection and the continued success of the musical. But other than a few dance mix-friendly whooshes, the songs sound precisely like the originals. Meaning they’ve still got groove, they’ve still got meaning. B
