Videogame Review: 'You Don't Know Jack Sports'
You Don’t Know Jack Sports, a spin-off from the original interactive trivia game, may not do much for your no-nonsense sports nut, but it ought to delight any fan weaned on ESPN and MTV. Jack Sports plays like a game show on speed: The host throws out questions (from a possible 800) while a cacophony of smart-aleck voices makes bad puns and insults players. The queries, cleverly grouped under such goofy categories as Virgin Whore Complexes and That’s Gonna Leave a Mark, demand a knowledge of history and culture as well as sports. Legendary sportscaster Red Smith would turn over in his grave, but I doubt if even he could hold back a snicker or two. B+
