Hanukkah isn’t nearly the pop-culture darling that Christmas is, an oversight Festival of Light seeks to redress in some small way. The sampling of Jewish music is a mixed bag — perhaps too mixed — with instrumental ventures framed by bland folk songcraft from Marc Cohn and Peter Himmelman. The most memorable moments — from Don Byron, John Zorn’s Masada, those elastic Klezmatics, and Jane Siberry — come out of left field. B-
