We’ve found twins of the Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow

Producers looking for clones of Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow: Call off the search. The fashion world is offering two models, Mark Vanderloo and Kirsty Hume, who bear more than a passing resemblance to the couple. Last month’s Vogue with Paltrow on the cover had Seventh Avenue doing double takes. ”I thought it was Kirsty at first,” says fashion-show producer Kevin Krier. And photographer Patrick McMullan says Vanderloo gets ”that second look. You look again and go, ‘Is that Brad Pitt?”’

But Vanderloo, 27 (who stars in this fall’s Hugo Boss campaign), and Hume, 21 (who graces the September cover of Marie Claire), aren’t mere imitations. Instead, the coincidence seems more the result of an uncommon alignment of beauty standards on the runway and on screen. ”There’s more cross-fertilization between fashion and Hollywood,” says Michael Gross, author of Model: The Ugly Business of Beautiful Women. ”The look of the moment is the same.”
