What Linus and Lucy: The Music of Vince Guaraldi lacks in finesse, sophistication, and jazz fluency, it gains in warm nostalgic spirit, drawn from the creative well of Guaraldi, who had a gentle-yet-urbane way with a song. ”Great Pumpkin Waltz,” for instance, could make a grown person cry.
