Hidden Assassin

When he’s not seeking legitimacy in New York’s Off Broadway theater or captaining the American pentathletes in Atlanta, Dolph Lundgren continues to cultivate an eye for this kind of blandly ambitious B movie, in which he plays a U.S. marshal chasing a lesbian assassin (Maruschka Detmers) around Prague. At least this direct-to-video Hidden Assassin costars John Ashton, an ersatz Dennis Franz who made his mark stealing scenes from Eddie Murphy in Beverly Hills Cop and Robert De Niro in Midnight Run, and commits real grand larceny as Lundgren’s mentor.
