The ’80s were a great decade for Tina Turner. So great, in fact, that her current producers are more than willing to turn back the clock on pop music’s grand survivor for this time-warped snoozer. The still-sassy Turner sounds just fine, but the synthesized backdrops and cookie-cutter pop tunes systematically suck all the life out of the project. A firm cover of John Waite’s ”Missing You” and a breathy duet with Barry White don’t exactly dispel the sense of deja vu in Wildest Dreams. C+
