The underrated veteran vocalist Carol Sloane certainly isn’t taking the easy way home by visiting classics immortalized by Ol’ Blue Eyes himself. It takes artistic assurity to attempt trademarks like ”In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning” and ”Young at Heart,” let alone to slide onto Sinatra’s reserved bar stool for ”One for My Baby,” but Sloane pulls The Songs Sinatra Sang off with taste and emotional depth.
