Limbo

In the 10 years since their swell debut album secured their reputation in that musty genre known (quaintly) as college rock, Throwing Muses have released six albums to increasingly diminishing returns. Their last three efforts were not unlike a piece of diner cheesecake: A few bites and, thank you, you’ve had enough. Limbo is another slice of the same, but a few tracks — like ”Tar Kissers” — are definitely worth sampling. B
