Austin’s claim to being the live-music capital might be hyperbolic, but this finely nuanced, gorgeously recorded CD by violist Will Taylor speaks volumes for that city’s scene. Saxist Elias Haslanger is, at times, too blatant to complement the dry-toned Taylor, but there’s still much to love on Live From Austin, from the imaginatively reworked ”Cherokee” to the pensive, original ”Raga.” B+
