Takin Mine

Surprisingly, this former cast member of MTV’s Real World has very real rap skills. Takin Mine‘s rhymes are imaginative, eclectic, and loaded with unpredictable rhythmic turns. With the exception of ”All Glocks Down” and ”If Headz Only Knew,” the backing tracks don’t live up to Heather B.’s vocals. But those two powerhouse singles hint at what she could attain with more cohesive production. B+
