Monifah attempts to establish herself in the Mary J. Blige mold of R&B/hip-hop divas. She’s at her best when she lets emotions take control of her well-trained voice, as they do on her hit, ”I Miss You (Come Back Home).” Some of the material falls flat, but all in all Moods…Moments is a very promising debut. B
