You gotta hand it to ex-Navy SEAL Casey Ryback (Steven Seagal): Like Bruce Willis’ Die Hard cop, John McClane, he’s always in the wrong place at the right time. In Under Siege 2: Dark Territory he just happens to be on a train that’s been hijacked by mercenary terrorists. And though none of them are as colorful as Under Siege‘s Tommy Lee Jones, they do manage to perish in some vivid ways. Indeed, the action in this formulaic sequel is, if anything, more spectacular, up to and including the climactic head-on train wreck. Reformatted for the video screen, some sequences have lost significant megatonnage — but don’t worry, there’s plenty left.
