Songs from Carole King’s Tapestry album have proved more durable than those from other mush-rock monsters of the ’70s. Whether they needed updating by this decade’s easy-listening stars (All-4-One, Celine Dion, Amy Grant, Eternal, Richard Marx, Faith Hill, etc.) is arguable. But why anyone would choose to sit through Tapestry Revisited, a 75-minute making-of documentary — singers singing, producers producing, all offering predictable remarks on how great it is to interpret songs by this great songwriter — is unimaginable.
