Former O.J. Simpson prosecutor Christopher Darden has sold his take on the trial to HarperCollins for a reported $1.5 million. The book is due next year. Meanwhile, fellow prosecutor Marcia Clark is currently hawking her tome, which is expected to fetch up to $4 million.

Michelle Pfeiffer’s production company, Via Rosa, and Peter Guber’s Mandalay Entertainment have paid upwards of $1 million for The Deep End of the Ocean, a first novel by Jacquelyn Mitchard. The book, about a mother whose 3-year-old son disappears while they attend her high school reunion, will be published by Viking next July.
