The ”set” in the title of Throw Your Set in the Air isn’t a TV but slang for a gang sign on these L.A. potheads’ first launch from their upcoming III (Temple of Boom) album. A cautionary (if veiled) tale about joining a gang is admirable; too bad the music recycles the standard slow-rolling Cypress sound, and the refrain (”Wave it around like you just don’t care”) is to rap what a drum solo is to a rock concert — a tired cliche.
