It figures. No sooner had I deleted Solitaire for Windows from my PC (it was keeping me from sleeping) then what should land on my door step but Solitaire Deluxe, which features 24 versions of this insanely addictive card game. Of course, not all solitaires are created equal: The offerings here range from the justly obscure Accordion and De cade to the double-deck fracas known as Super Scorpion, which will have you staring at your screen in stupefaction. For all the novelty of these little-known variants, though, Klondike — the version that comes free with Windows — is still the one that wins hands down. B
