A look at Rocktropolis

As all-encompassing as this website aspires to be — by clicking on various buildings in the neon-lit Rocktropolis ”strip” you can access sundry information about featured rock &amp rollers (including Sting, Brian Wilson, and the Doors), participate in on-line chat sessions, and even order an $18 T-shirt from a virtual souvenir shop — it’s like a small town in cyberspace desperately trying to attract a big-name act. There is some passably interesting stuff here, but what I suspect will draw the most tourists is the uncredited appearance of Daryl Hannah, who as the angelic guide Soma adds a note of grace to an otherwise garish affair.
