A Moment of Forever

Kris Kristofferson has a knack for minting sturdy three-chord ballads from obvious sentiments. But without the flashes of wit and skillful imagery he’s capable of, his songs dissolve into monotonous doggerel. That’s mostly what we get on A Moment of Forever — there’s nothing to convert nonbelievers or to add to this 59-year-old’s handful of undeniable country-folk classics. C
