Kudos to you and your Summer Movie Preview. I enjoyed it immensely. The month-by-month guide to the movies was a good way of highlighting the best movies of the summer. I’ve subscribed to your magazine now for 2 1/2 years and have yet to be disappointed.
I’ve been a subscriber from day one, and I look forward every year to your Summer Movie Preview. You’ve outdone yourselves. Great job!
Jerry Seinfeld is right when he says that it is a critic’s natural tendency to try to find problems where there are none. Seinfeld is just as funny, witty, and original as it’s always been. In printing an unnecessarily negative article, EW, an otherwise great publication, has jumped on the Seinfeld-bashing bandwagon.
Watch It, Buster
I find it endlessly annoying that reviewers like David Hajdu and other critics of silent film must consistently praise Buster Keaton at the expense of Charlie Chaplin. Can’t we simply acknowledge the timeless comic genius of both?
‘Hard’ to Take
John McTiernan should have thought of the people of Oklahoma City when he released Die Hard With a Vengeance one month after the April 19 bombing. I love the Die Hard movies, normally. And my husband is a big Bruce Willis fan. But right now I and many Oklahomans can’t stomach it.
