There are microwave stars and then there’s Kato Kaelin. Since testifying at the Simpson trial, Kaelin’s been under siege. ”I’ve had 168 offers for Kato’s employment,” says his agent, Raphael Berko. ”If he wanted it, he could be a wealthy man.” Besides hitting the L.A. party circuit, Kaelin’s done a cameo for Roseanne, is working on a documentary about his brush with fame, and may even pop up on The Larry Sanders Show. Some folks are appalled by the success of O.J.’s houseguest. ”I don’t want to talk about how sick this is making me,” groans an HBO exec. Pauly Shore, who met Kaelin at a party last fall, finds it very funny. ”We looked at each other and started laughing,” says Shore, ”because we’re both jokes, you know?”
