The Joy of Sex (Philips Interactive, CD-ROM for PC and Mac, $59.99) If actual sex were as tedious and punchless as this remarkably prosaic program, there just wouldn’t be much reason for slogging along, would there? The problem: The disc is pretty much a flat translation of the book’s clinically explicit illustrations, with a few bells and whistles tacked on. Of course, there are some interesting tidbits. I learned that missionary position was coined by ”amused Polynesians.” Hmmm. What exactly was amusing them? More important, who and how often? D -AK
