She’s caused a shrink’s death, terrorized her invalid mother, and held an adversary hostage at gunpoint. But Kimberlin Brown, the Emmy nominee who plays the deliciously psycho Sheila on CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful, knows when her character steps over the line. ”Sheila was required to cut the birthmark off a baby. That just blew me away,” recalls Brown, who has a year-old child. ”I said (to the writers), ‘Whoa, guys. No way!’ They said, ‘Just do it. But don’t go out for two weeks.”’ Though Sheila has appeared on both B&B and The Young and the Restless for six years, she has escaped the redemption that befalls most soap villains. ”I’d never want to see her completely nice or good,” says Brown. ”What fun would it be to be nice?”
