3D ATLAS (ABC/EA Home Software, for 3DO, $69.99) Oh, great — the same everything-and-the-kitchen-sink mentality that’s ruined so many CD-ROM reference works has arrived on 3DO. If this disc were even close to what its title implies — a topographical review of the world’s terrain — it might be of interest to cartographers. Instead, it’s an unearthly mix of, among other things, junior-high-quality documentary video clips, presumably intended for children; economic line graphs and import/export stats, presumably intended for adults; and a klutzy, unfathomable interface that neither children nor adults will understand.
