This week in Hollywood
''Lorca,'' ''If Lucy Fell,'' and '' Dead Drop'' made news the week of February 3, 1995
Planning: Hunks Kurt Russell and Keanu Reeves are pumping for a pair of projects later this year. Russell stars in Joel Silver’s Executive Decision while Reeves teams up with director Andrew Davis (The Fugitive) for Dead Drop.
Prepping: In Lorca, another hunk, Andy Garcia, will play gay Spanish poet and playwright Federico Garcia Lorca. Antonio Banderas costars as a man who probes his murder. Production begins in Spain in May.
Shooting: Last year’s My Life’s in Turnaround turned actor-director-writer Eric Schaeffer’s life around. Now he’s making a big leap with If Lucy Fell, a comedy about two roommates (Schaeffer and Sarah Jessica Parker) who vow to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge if they don’t find love before 30. Lucy also stars supermodel Elle Macpherson and Ben Stiller as potential love interests.
