"ER"'s backseat drivers -- Real doctors offer Michael Crichton unasked-for advice on the popular medical series

If there’s one thing that makes ER creator Michael Crichton queasy about the breakout series, it’s all the second opinions he’s been receiving. ”All I get is flack from real-life doctors,” says Crichton, adding that some physicians may be taking the show a little too seriously. ”One doctor told me, ‘You know, I really like the show, but the lab coats are the wrong color.’ I said, ‘They’re white.’ He said, ‘But they’re the wrong shade of white.”’
