Macaulay Culkin grows up

Now that he’s 14 years old and growing by leaps and bounds, Macaulay Culkin is probably too tall to play prepubescent Richie Rich. But after paying Culkin $8 million to star in the Warner Bros. version of the comic book, the filmmakers came up with an ingenious way to make him look shorter, says Chelcie Ross, who plays a villain in the film: Several costars are more than six feet tall, including Edward Herrmann and John Larroquette (who’s 6’4”). ”I guess everyone wanted to make sure that he looks like a kid,” says the 6-foot-3-inch Ross.
