The Santa Clause

Ho, ho, whoa! It’s the attack of the 40-foot Santa Clause. Since Nov. 11, this larger-than-life-size balloon of Tim Allen, part of a promotional stunt at the Cineramadome in L.A., has been getting its rubbery butt kicked by the Santa Ana winds. Disney workers have been forced to inflate and deflate the balloon several times, fearing the effigy could be dangerous if it stood up to Mother Nature. ”I didn’t want a Santa roaming free down Sunset Boulevard in shreds,” says a Disney spokesperson. Now there’s a nightmare before Christmas.
