The plot of Unveiled, a better-than-average video thriller — sultry woman (Lisa Zane) plays bait to help dashing operative (Whip Hubley) trap serial killer — is standard, but its unfolding takes us into some new area of both geography (it’s set in Marrakech, Morocco) and intrigue. And while Zane does well by her complex but not-too-nice character (an unpleasant jet-setting druggie fleeing from her dad, who’s been threatening to put her in rehab), her stylists didn’t do her any favors. The usually sleek actress resembles Madonna having a bad hair decade. C+
