Alas, Keanu Reeves, we thought we knew him! The Bill & Ted adventurer has agreed to play the title role in a Canadian stage production of Hamlet, which will begin a three-week run in Winnipeg next January. The actor’s spokesman says Reeves accepted the part after being approached by a high school buddy, Lewis Baumander, who’s directing the play. Although Reeves is committed, he’s allowing himself a little Hamlet-like indecision in case a movie deal comes up. Says the spokesman, “It’s still so far away, but I assume he would follow through unless it’s totally impossible.” Totally.
