* Remaking: Confounding critics yet again, Duran Duran is recording an all- covers album, Thank You, that includes versions of-get this-Public Enemy’s ”911 Is a Joke” and Grandmaster Flash’s ”White Lines.” It’s expected in April. * Honoring: RCA is proceeding with earlier plans for a two-CD set on the late Harry Nilsson, who died at age 52 on Jan. 15 of complications from a 1993 heart attack. Best known for the hits ”Everybody’s Talkin”’ and ”Without You,” Nilsson also sang the theme song of TV’s The Courtship of Eddie’s Father and, most auspiciously, was John Lennon’s partner-in-debauchery during Lennon’s 1974-75 separation from Yoko Ono. Mariah Carey remade ”Without You” on Music Box.
