So Tom and Roseanne Arnold‘s pending ”marriage” to Tom’s former assistant, Kim Silva, is a hoax — or isn’t it? The Arnolds have been quick to laugh it off as a gag they foisted on the media in response to rumors that Tom had an affair with Silva. But according to their publicist, Kevin Campbell, the story is only a hoax depending on ”how one interprets it. There will be a ceremony, and they have bought her a ring. They say they’re marrying her.”

The trio claims to have registered at Barneys New York, the department store, and at ice-cream maker Ben & Jerry’s. Michael Gale, president of Ben & Jerry’s of California, confirms he received a fax from Campbell requesting that the three-way wedding party be registered for six flavors, including Reverse Chocolate Chunk, Heath Bar Crunch, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Cherry Garcia. ”I assume in lieu of gifts you send ice cream,” says Gale. ”Tom and Roseanne have been great supporters of the ice cream.” — Additional reporting by Heather Keets
