In this attempted spoof of sports instructional tapes, Leslie Nielsen plays a country-club version of his Frank Drebin character from the Naked Gun movies with such humorless results that it makes Tim Conway’s Dorf on Golf seem like a work of genius. As the all-knowing golfer in Leslie Nielsen’s Bad Gold Made Easier, bending the rules to shave points from his score, Nielsen offers gag advice to his eager partner, Billy (Archie Hahn): ”The real key to golf is the short game”-the camera then cuts to two midgets putting. The video’s only saving grace is an intentionally cheesy Casio soundtrack and a cameo of Sonny Bono driving by in a golf cart. That should tell you plenty. D
