There seems to be nothing Shinehead can’t do, and do well. The Jamaica-raised New Yorker peppers his wise, informative rap with heavily accented reggae motor-mouthing, but he also has a lovely singing voice. And he’s not afraid to toughen up his covers of Paul McCartney’s ”Let ‘Em In” and Stevie Wonder’s sappy ”I Just Called to Say I Love You” by adding hard urban rhythm tracks.
