Word on the success of Nirvana is that mega-guitar rock is back. But here is one sweet ‘n’ not-so-innocent pop band that haven’t yet heard the news: On their new album, Cerulean, the Ocean Blue, a Pennsylvanian quartet, continue to pursue their atmospheric and not charmless space rock. But the band’s poetic sensibility is ickily new-romantic — wildflowers have far too high a profile in their lyrics — and too many songs struggle to make an impression. Cerulean is disappointingly monochromatic. B-
