The other ”hood” at movie houses this summer is Robin Hood, whose exploits predate South Central’s Crips and Bloods by about 800 years. Robin Hood shot ”(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” — Bryan Adams’ sappy but irresistible ballad — to the top of the singles charts, and the single helped catapult the soundtrack album into the top 10. Or at least that’s the only plausible explanation. The record’s only other pop tune, and the rest of the album is orchestral movie music, fine in the theater but a little melodramatic at home.
